Fenchem, a producer of inulin, is working to receive the GMP stamp of approval from the AIB (American Institute of Baking). Following their successful organic certification, Fenchem is now aiming to deliver safe and high quality In-fibre™ inulin to food manufacturers, which will further demonstrate Fenchem's commitment to safety and hygiene.
AIB International's audit involves an evaluation of the company’s food safety and hygiene programme, the manpower required to make it effective, cleaning schedules, methods and training of hygiene operatives and management's involvement in food safety. Fenchem expects to achieve the ‘superior rating’ from AIB.
Fenchem In-fibre™ inulin has recently obtained organic certification, which meets both the standards of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Organic Program (NOP) and EC.
Fenchem will present a seminar, “In-fibre(TM) Organic Inulin--- Drive Inside Safety” at the upcoming FIA event, 23-25 June 2009, in Shanghai, China.
In-Fibre™ Inulin is polymer derived from Jerusalem artichoke (Helianthus tuberosus Linn.). As a prebiotic, it is best known for gut health and immunity benefits and has also been linked to weight loss. Inulin is an ideal ingredient for applications in dairy, bakery, beverages and cereals.
